I thought I would start this thread to see what paranormal related books everyone has on their shelves or what are you reading right now.
Right now I am reading The Haunting of America: Ghost and Legends of America's Past by Troy Taylor
He takes you in search of America's most haunted places and all the strange and historical ghost stories that have ever been told.
He list a lot of places that I have heard of and some I have not heard of. He goes very in depth with the history of all of these places.
When you get a chance pick it up and give it a read. I give it 5 out of 5 skulls and would recommend this book as a must read.

Currently I have your book by Troy Taylor...lol... and the "Paranormal Investigators Handbook" is out on loan to someone in the group. Oh yeah, I am through with Mr. Taylors book... It was quite good.
I also read through the Encyclopedia of Ghost and Spirits by Rosemary E. G. while it was around the house... (thanks Justin..)

Wow! Someone responded. LOL! When I finish with this next one I will pass it on to you Trav. Oh and the what's on your shelf doesn't have to be paranormal related. It can include fiction books or literature of interest such as Stephen King or Dean Koontz. Just whatever is tickling your fancy this week

Nightmares and Dreamscapes is one of my all time favorites as well as the Dark Tower series which I need to get opened back up some time soon. There are a few motivational books laying around here as well, (don't really know where they come from...) as well as text books out the whazzo.

I was just wondering if anyone has read the book Baptism by Fire by Dwayne Claud? I haven't read it yet but just wondered if anyone else had....it is a fairly new book published in 2007 and the reviews I read sounded pretty good.

Well I finally finished reading The Haunting of America by Troy Taylor. I must say it is a fantastic read. I HIGHLY recommend his books they are very good and full of history. Like he says you have to know the history to get to the mystery. Troy also has a lot of field guide books that I say should be required reading. They are very up to date and very informative. The one I have is the Ghost Hunters Guidebook and I refer back to it ALOT for investigative techniques and other things. He has a whole field guide series and I am getting the rest. You can check out his super cool site at www.prairieghost.com You can also sign up for his free newletter. I did.

I love reading. I have just read Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles, which I would greatly recommend to everyone. I'm also reading Douglas Adams's Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy series which is hilarious.
As far as paranormal related books, I am reading a book on the art of music that contains a lot bizarre things like Plato's and Aristotle's views on the "magic" of music and a lot of theries on the supposed psychological effects of music.
