If anyone has any information concerning this please post that information. This was recieved in on the form processor, which should actually have been posted on one of these boards under Paranormal Activity. Here's what was recieved:
IT WAS VERY UNEXPLAINED THAT IN THIS AREA SOMETHING HAPPENED LONG AGO THAT NO ONE REALLY KNOWS ABOUT WHY ELSE WOULD CONFEDERATE SOLDIERS BE WONDERING AROUND SUCH AN EXCLUSIVE PLACE WHERE NO WAR OF ANY KIND EVER HAPPENED AND ONLY SHOW UP TO VERY FEW PEOPLE SOMETHING HAPPENED ON THIS ROAD LONG AGO THAT NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT MANY PEOPLE HAVE SEEN SEVERAL CONFEDERATE SOLDIERS ON THIS LOCATION WITH NO EXPLANATION AS TO WHY

I do have one comment concerning this statement as well. There were plenty of confederate soldiers all over the state of Mississippi and there were plenty of wide range battles that could have pushed back much further than the lines were stated to have gone. The Union Army torched a lot of the deep south and there are plenty of chances and opportunity for a soul to be uneasy and not at rest over all that happened in those times. There are so many unnamed and unheard of battles that were not documented properly because so few people lived through it or went into hiding afterward. Truth of the matter, the Union Soldiers did not always know where they were, so if it were a complete victory and total kill by them, who would really know where they were when this small battle between two regiments or less happened. You see where I am going with this I hope. Not to say history is completely flawed, but I would have to believe there are holes in it somewhere. Not to mention, that is not to terribly far from the Tupelo area. Take a look at this for instance: More information concerning the Battle of Tupelo can be viewed here: www.nps.gov/tupe/More information concerning the Battle of Shiloh can be viewed here: www.nps.gov/shilMore information concerning the Corinth Center, and links to information concerning the Siege of Corinth can be viewed by clicking here: www.nps.gov/shil/historyculture/corinth.htmThere may be some explanations concerning how a battle can be strewn for 50 to 100 miles or more across state lines and then some.

Travis, The battle of Okolona was fought south and west of Nettleton in 1864... it actually was fought across a wide swath in Chickasaw and Pontotoc counties... I work in Nettleton, where is this road? Michael

On the map above is the road on it? If so is it blue or red? A road in Nettleton could be any road. I can not pinpoint if I don't know where about this road is.....

Shellb, that map is of the Tupelo campaign and I believe Travis posted it to illustrate to the whoever sent the original message that Confederate soldiers were in the area near Nettleton

The colored lines represent the movement of troops, blue for union and red for Confeds, not necessarily specific roads
