The year was 1994. My uncle was the pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church. (There was a witch in the membership.) My cousin and I had snuck out and gone around the side of the church to have a smoke. The first thing was an unearthly roar from our east in the woods. I have never found anything on record that sounds remotely like that roar. Next, in the road almost to where the cemetary gates are, we saw a green light hovering in the middle. The light looked as if someone was holding an old lantern and would hold it up as if to see further from time to time. As we walked toward the light to check things out, it went up into the cemetary and dropped down into one of the graves. I could see the dust fly up from unseen footprints in the gravel road as it went to its resting place.
There was, at that time, not possibility of street lights being our floating orb and my uncle said that he had seen the light in the cemetary several times.
I have been there only once since then and the road has been paved, but still the level of activity is very high. I will go back soon, but not yet.....

Very interesting. One thing I am wondering about this particular experience, was it during the day or night?
The following visit, did you experience any other phenomena that leads you to believe that it is still active?

It was about 12AM or 1Am.
At the time of the following visit, I was too sensitive and was almost vibrating with electricity. Barry, however, did hear something beyond the gates that really scared him.

Look, everything gets very weird and ghost stories abound once you get on the east side of Hwy 9. Some of it has to do with a band of satanists, but not all of it.

Yes, I am. Wives have killed husbands (1st 2nd and beat 3rd) in thier sleep, little old dead ladies take care of children, so on and so forth. Just don't go out to race the ghost at Bethel church at midnight on Halloween, that's where I ran up on the group of satanists.

Here's what I know. Pontotoc is a powerful place and is drawing ppl to her (like me).
Around Troy (Southeast of town) and the afore mentioned east of nine is some sort of power nexus.
